Searching the Joint IUFoST/FAO Database

Go to www.fao.org/inpho, click on the "IUFoST" link on the left of the screen. The on-line database can be accessed and searched by using keywords. For this, no username or password is necessary.

Inputting a relevant research project into the Database

Having clicked on "IUFoST", click on the "Contributions" link on the left of the new screen. A dialogue box will appear carrying a drop-down domain menu with "FAO Domain" showing. Use the drop-down menu to change to "System Account". Then enter "guest" in both the username and password slots and click on "Log in". On the left of the new page, click on "Add new". This will bring up the form in which the details of the project can be entered and appropriate keywords selected.

You will note that the name and description of the project are required in English, French and Spanish. If this presents difficulties, enter the name and details in one of the three languages that you find easiest and then use http://www.babelfish.altavista.com/ to produce versions in the other two languages.
