TO: IUFoST Colleagues, Walter Spiess, President of IUFoST, has identified several initiatives on which IUFoST should focus during his term in office. Among these initiatives is an evaluation of the potential for distance education in the field of food science and engineering. He is in the process of appointing a Task Force with the following charge:
