Scientific Council
The Scientific Council is independent of both the Governing Council and Board. Its members are nominated from the International Academy and elected by the General Assembly. Its function is to maintain the scientific standard and integrity of all IUFoST activities. The Scientific Council recommends the establishment of specific working groups, provides advice on scientific programmes and recommendations for Congress participants.

In these, and all its activities, IUFoST subscribes to the principles of ICSU that promote participation by all bona fide scientists without regard to race, religion, political philosophy, ethnic origin, citizenship, language or sex.
